Ooooh!!! Look What I'm Gonna Do!!

I went to Barnes & Noble last week and spent a ton of time looking at cookbooks. I was looking for a good Vietnamese and a good Thai cookbook and wouldn't ya know it... Mai Pham wrote the perfect cookbook for me. I came home and looked it up on the internet to see if I couldn't find a better price. Gotta love Amazon!

She started the Lemon Grass Restaurant and Cafes in Sacramento and it is very popular. The recipes look good and the ingredients should be available to us for the most part, here in the BIG city.

I'm so so excited to learn how to do some of these recipes really well and serve 'em up to family and friends...

In reading through the first few pages it looks like I need a good sized stone Mortar and Pestle, a rice cooker and a good Wok. Once I've obtained these items, I'll be ready to start shopping and cooking. I expect I'll have the nutritional information, menu plan and shopping list all put together by then.
It's going to take me a while to get these items as finances are tight.... which just gives me more time to shop a deal!! I'm so excited!!!
