Weekly Weigh In (#5)

I am down 2.2 pounds this week! I am happy with this, I had a rocky start this week and had my worries.
This is the first week of a friendly little competition I'm in "The Biggest Loser Challenge." The start date was Monday. I took a peek on the scale that day and was up over 2 pounds from the day before!! (Hormonal increase, I'm guessing.) The competition is 12 weeks long and it will do me good to have some extra drive for a couple months along my bigger journey.
One thing that went well this week was packing lunches. Even when I didn't get it done the night before I did it the next morning and we took our standby: Spinach Salad with Craisins and Pecans with either Litehouse Raspberry Walnut(yummy!) or one day I used diced peaches in extra light syrup(drained) as the dressing.
I'm also getting better about taking plenty of fruit to snack on. I had a major HUNGER hour one night after work and drank a bottle of water to help out on the way home, and I think the water did help out with not overeating. By the end of the week I had snacks figured out well enough that I had some carrots and fruit for the ride home at night. A practice I need to keep going for sure.
Exercise this week started off strong! I did 53 minutes on the elliptical on Monday and 30 Minutes on Wednesday. I also took 2 very short walks at work (13 and 15 minute walks) during the week. Kim suggested that we walk together and I was very happy to have some help in that department. Exercise so far this weekend hasn't happened.
I need to get back on my elliptical tonight. I am already at 111 minutes for the week, but I really need to be doing more for the competition as I want to be in like the top 25% for exercise, depending on the competition. Between me and the wall, I know I can do more than 111 minutes a week and I need to average higher anyway to reach my 500 for the month.

I saw that you had joined the Biggest Loser competition. That would be really great motivation. Maybe I'll join next time.
