The Music Man and Main Street Pizza Noodle

Dennis, Kaylee, Kenzie and I all went to a play at the Egyptian Theater in Park City. It was really nice to do something different from the usual and we all had a good time. The girls even put the phone away at the play and the restaurant without being asked.
The Egyptian Theater is TINY. It took a lot of ingenuity to do the scene changes and they did a really good job. All the backgrounds had two sides and all they had to do was flip them around.
I had never seen "The Music Man". It reminds me of the play "The Rainmaker" as far as the plot goes.
After the play we went down to Main Street Pizza and Noodle. We had the pasta. SO yummy, but land sakes that place is expensive! We each got our own pasta plate and while it was very very good, Kenzie did just as good the other night, her chicken was better, and if we would have taken the time to make our own noodles and some pizza dough bread, it would have been all that and more. Don't think I"ll be spending money on that place for a good long while. But I digress...
School is starting and the girls are going back home to their other homes. Kenzie will be back in a couple of weeks and we'll probably see Kaylee again in the spring. It's been very nice having them here. Kaylee even got to go to Kenzie's birthday party this time. Today is the day and I probably should go wake them so they can get ready to leave me again. :(

That sounds like a really fun day!
We love going to plays and we're really looking forward to renewing our Season tickets at Hale Theater.
Going out to eat just kind of looks and feels different when you've committed to change, doesn't it? In the past year, the handful of times we went out to eat I was kind of disappointed more than once. I was often left thinking, I could have done that better at home and for less money. :sigh:

Trish- You are absolutely right. I did my best to just enjoy the food and the company.
However it was on my mind that we hadn't really budgeted this on paper and this was going to affect how much money we had for the month on other things.
I kind of forgot that we had a restaurant budget that we've used heavily for lunches before and that this month we plan to plan lunches ahead and not hit up Crown Burger or Wendy's so much.
Also, usually when we go out to dinner it's just Dennis and I. We are not often impacted times four for our purchases and I think that was part of it as well. Speaking of planning lunches, I better go. It's very important now that I take care of that!

It sounds like you had a GREAT time with the girls!! It is hard to go out when you realize every dollar you spend. Just remember to enjoy the little things in life.

Love You

Amy- Exactly. I don't think I truly "realized" I was spending foolishly before. I certainly didn't realize that there was another way that I would actually prefer.

The big plunge...
