"How 'bout I DATE you, today?"

That's what Dennis asked when he got out of bed this morning. He said we should go to Zen Massage and both get massages. I thought carefully for about 5 tenths of a second and said, "Yes."We went to Zen Massage on 5520 and Van Winkle. Dennis and I both had appointments scheduled for 3:00 pm and we arrived about 5 minutes early. They also take walk-ins.
This was definitely not just a massage, it was an experience from the time you walked in the door.
They had us sit down in these super comfy chairs and poured us some yummy exotic white flowering tea and talked to us about how we were feeling and what we needed from our massages.
Dennis of course was mainly concerned about his leg (the last one he broke) and the pain he's having there. Me, I was all about tightness and pain in my neck and shoulders.
After we finished our tea we went back to our suite with Amy and Kaitlynn, our therapists and our newest favorite people. They told us to face down on our beds and that we should call them on the phone when we were ready.
The suite was very warmly and simply decorated. There was an amazing sound system and I'm guessing bamboo floors in the suites. There was a couch and the two massage beds.

After we climbed under the blankets they came in and each of us received "The Best Massage I Ever Had", we both agreed. They played zen music, the room was warm but not too warm. I cried after it was over. Seriously the best massage ever.
There was a shower with all the amenities in the suite, which I decided to take advantage of afterwards.
Then went back and sat and had a little more tea. So ultra relaxing!
AMAZING! I know!!! We are so spoiled!!!!
Also, we didn't have to break the budget! Partially because we know that Dennis is in need of massages right now and we have that built in to the budget and we have the personal care and gift budget that we pulled out of so I could get one too.
If you find you have enough personal care and wellness money or gift money in the budget (or fun money, medical expenses, etc..) you gotta go! No, seriously you gotta go!
My husband has the bestest ideas!! I love him so much!
