C. Beth Blog ~ Word of the Year

I love C. Beth. She writes well and she's pretty dang funny. She has a couple of blogs and I read them both whenever I can. One is The One Minute Writer and she does a daily prompt on some subject and you write about it for one minute.
I love reading what others wrote and if I'm inspired I'll leave a comment with my one-minute writing. I've also clicked on some of her followers and a lot of them have pretty awesome blogs too.
So I'm actively considering my resolutions for the new year, and come across the idea to pick a word of the year that inspires you or reminds you of a trait you want to pursue, or a quality you want to enhance in your life.
C.Beth got the idea from Lisa Leonard's Blog which is pretty great too, lots of awesome photos.
Lindsay had a good one: Simplicity.
Now I'm actively considering resolutions and my word of the year. What's yours?

Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm a big fan of simplify right now! Good luck on finding your word!

I've given up on making New Year's resolutions.
I mean, if the intent of resolutions is to improve one's life, why should that only happen Jan 1st?
So I tend to make resolutions whenever I feel the need throughout the year.
There are a few goals I have in mind to accomplish this year.
I am going to finally get our family photos and videos properly organized and made available for viewing and reminiscing. I'm going to take the whole "scrapbooking" pressure off my self and find some other way to enjoy those memories. Although I would still like to continue books for Emily and Jaxon.
As for a word...I had been considering "Kind" for the past month or so. Now I'm leaning more toward "Change" as there are a lot of changes needed in my life.
Maybe I'll have two words. I'm a rebel like that. ;)

I saw a necklace on Lisa Leonard's site that said "SPARKLE" and then watched "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" and now I'm sure the word of the year is Sparkle. It seems to fit for a lot of different areas.
Trish- I set goals all year long as well. I love the idea of a new year and the chance to reflect on direction. It's very motivating for me. I'm wary of the word resolutions but I just can't pass up the chance to decide on or some new goals or recommit to older ones.

The big plunge...
