PARTY!!!!!!

Look who’s out of the house!!! Husband is on the mend! It’s good to see him doing so well. We went to a Birthdays Party Sunday evening. The Birthdays belonged to G-Baby T, (she’s 1) and her Uncle Jax.(he’s 2). They had a great time and we had a great time sharing in the celebrations!
We were also happy to hear that the would be proposal we heard about Saturday night happened earlier on Sunday. We were searching for clues and finally Papa D spotted the ring around her neck and asked what that was for. She said, “I told him that I would think about it!” Then laughed and said “I said yes” and smiled.
Yaaaay!!! !I am so happy for them. I know they spent a lot of time learning about each other and know all the fabulous qualities that will make them a strong couple and a great family.

Check out the bionic ankle!

Surgery went well and Papa D is in recovery room. Doc will check in on him in the morning and let us know when he can go home! Pretty impressive, huh.

Feeling Very Blessed

It is so nice to have the love and support of Mom B. Sh is really such an immense help right now. She makes the trek out to the house almost everyday to take care of her boy.
Us Mom's are at our best when our kids need us... and us kids become the grateful children that we should always be to our Moms when they show up yet again to make sure that when life knocks us down they will help us up and do their best to make it all go away.
I really gained a deep appreciation for Mom B when D broke his leg 2 years ago. I could see she really loves him and would do anything for him. She has helped me so much keep my sanity and not get so stressed out. I can stay on top of the housework just a little better than usual... She's helped me with laundry and has even done my dishes. Thanks Mom B. I'm glad you are here and am thankful so thankful for your generous giving of yourself.

Weekend with the Kids -

Last night the Momma Daughters and Families spent the night. We had all 3 G-Babies at the house. We stayed up late and slept in a bit. Had a simple breakfast and visited... Good Times!
Blondie gave Papa D a stuffed animal yellow duckie, since his ankle is broken and he is bed bound.
Sandie Kitty has no concept that those claws of hers HURT when she climbs up your back or up your leg. This just started in the last couple of days and she climbed up Blondie and Momma K and G-maMom. MommaK called and worked us a deal to get 35% off of her much needed declawing and set her up an appointment for Tuesday. She seems to have discovered her claws in the last week and she uses them more and more every day. So far she has only destroyed a tablecloth.

Sandie goes in for her Declaw Surgery on Tuesday and Papa D goes in for his bionic ankle on Wednesday. Sandie's stay will be 3 days and Papa D's stay is yet to be determined. I think I would rather be declawed then have my bones creatively screwed back together.

4th of July was a Smash!

We went camping for a very short time on Friday July, 4th. Dennis broke his ankle about 45 minutes after we arrived at the campsite. Poor guy! He had just gotten to the point after breaking his leg 2 years ago in July where he wasn't really swelling too much at the end of a long day and his endurance and strength were returning.
Guess it's broke up pretty good inside. They did a CT scan but they never really said how many pieces. He'll be going in for a second surgery on the ankle on July 14th or the 16th. The Doc said there is no way he will be allowed to start walking on it for 10 weeks after the surgery... maybe 12 weeks.
You really worry when you can't work whether your job will keep you on while you heal up and you really really worry when they were so great just two years ago and you have to ask for them to work with you a second time. We need that insurance and we need that job...
There is a lot that is out of our control at this point, so we'll try and stay positive and do what needs to be done....
